Points to remember before completing your sale

  • All sales calls must be recorded.
  • If you are requesting pre-check (asset viewer) data, you must read the authorisation script, store and record the customer verbally agreeing to you obtaining the data.
  • You must ensure your calling data is GDPR compliant and has been checked against the TPS (Telephone Protection Service).
  • Always ensure your customer knows pricing does not include VAT.
  • The customer will return to standard pricing at the end of their contract term.
You must explain the contract terms and the CPI (Consumer Price Index)
  • All call recordings must demonstrate you have explained available 24, 36 and 60 month contract terms to your customer. You can use the latest offers PDF to offer pricing incentives for longer term contracts, i.e. 60 month terms can be priced less vs 36 month contracts. There are typically no offers or discounts for 24 month contracts.
  • In-contract (CPI) price increases must now be conveyed clearly to the customer in pounds and pence, for each year of their contract. PLEASE REMEMBER: This impacts all service providers, not just BT. As of 17/01/25, all BT Business products will be subject to price increases as follows: Broadband Only (SOLUS) packages: £3 per month each year from 1st April. Cloud Voice Express bundles: £4 per month each year from 1st April. Additional CVE licence: £1 per month each year from 1st April. Unlimited Call Plans: £0.50 each per month each year from 1st April. An example of this (for a 36-month SOLUS contract) would be: “Your monthly price is £30.95, increasing to £33.95 on 1 April 2025 and to £36.95 on 1 April 2026.” It is NOT sufficient to state a broader timeframe for when the price rise will occur, e.g. “Your monthly price will increase by £3 each April until the end of your contract”. Broad or vague statements like “Your monthly price will increase by £3 each April until the end of your contract” are not acceptable.
  • Remember BT Business Guidelines! You are not BT, and should never represent yourself or your business as BT. You are 'An Authorised Supplier for BT'. Please request further brand training if you are at all unsure. Representing yourself as BT Business will result in immediate termination.

  • A single licence, priced at £4.99 (excluding VAT), covers up to five laptops or PCs and unlimited mobile devices.
  • Customers can purchase up to five licences, allowing protection for up to 25 laptops or PCs.
  • To access the McAfee download, customers must register for a BT Business My Account.
