What is the Globalgig SD-WAN Solution?

Globalgig offer SD WAN solutions based on Palo Alto, Cisco Viptela, Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, CradlePoint and Peplink, with the Palo Alto solution covering the USA and several locations in China. Globalgig staff will analyze a client’s network architecture, business policies and application flows in order to design a solution in line with a client’s business needs. The SD WAN solution is not tied to a specific service provider or technology platform, allowing clients to customize their network. 

Configuration-Based Key Features:

• Direct OnNet Service: Globalgig Connect is a product that delivers efficient and simple network access to end users by determining cost and connectivity options, providing a single point of contact for the entire solution. It means that clients do not have to manage multiple different contracts with vendors and supplier support organizations. The service supports SD WAN as well as public and private IP services, IP transit services, broadband and dedicated internet and can be delivered on fixed wirelines, copper/EoC, cable/FTTX and fiber/wavelengths.
• Hybrid SD WAN: The SD WAN solution is capable of working with hybrid networks, pure-play DIA networks and networks in transition.
• Public and Private Networking Services: A comprehensive public and private networking service that covers Layer 2 and Layer 3 routers, devices, virtual machines and switches. Has the capability to integrate the wireline network with wireless services to create an innovative solution.
• IP Transit: Full SLA backed with service level guarantees, IP transit services are designed for global enterprises, and offers solution design, consultation, service implementation and ongoing support.
• MPLS IP-VPN: An MPLS solution that is backed by service level guarantees, aimed at providing a secure connection for performance applications. Supports metro, national and global locations with scalable bandwidth from 1Mbps to 10Gbps. Connects data centers, offices and cloud-based applications by delivering any-to-any networking.
• Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS): Extends corporate LAN to give clients the bandwidth capacity needed for voice, video and data applications by offering security and scalability. Built on MPLS technology, clients are offered customized provisioning, management and configuration. Has the potential to reduce costs by replacing expensive point-to-point WAN connections. 

Security-Based Key Features:

• All of Globalgig’s architectures and network designs are inclusive of security. 

Performance-Based Key Features:

• Wireless WAN: Available to be efficiently implemented in the event of SD WAN failover as well as primary connectivity to remote locations. Wireless WAN is available in over 200 countries using Globalgig’s patented SIM.
• 4G LTE: Global 4G LTE connectivity is available for business continuity solutions and failover, temporary connections for events such as conferences or pop-up retail shops and provides network access for hard to reach and remote locations.
• Dedicated Internet Access (DIA): Capable of delivering low latency and high performance services that are required by mission-critical applications. The service can connect locations between Europe, North America, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.
• Network Resiliency for SD WAN:  Provides SD WAN failover via wireless broadband connections. The solution offers local data access to over 600 wireless carriers, meaning that businesses are not tied to just one carrier.

What is the Globalgig SASE security solution?

Globalgig offer managed SASE services from a number of vendors, including Cisco Viptela, Cisco Meraki and Fortinet, offering security features such as NGFW, SWG and UTM.

How does Globalgig access cloud vendors?

Globalgig do not directly access cloud vendors, and therefore must be accessed via a third party vendor or service provider, or alternatively the customer could approach AWS or Azure, for example, directly for access.

Does Globalgig offer WAN acceleration and optimisation?

Globalgig do not directly offer WAN acceleration and optimisation, however it is possible to obtain via one of their vendor partners.

How does Globalgig support remote users?

Globalgig supports mobile and remote users through its Remote Office solutions. This solution connects locations that cannot be supported by wireline networks or that are temporary using Multi-IMSI SIMs. This single SIM provides multi-network operator support in over 200 countries. Remote Office solutions can be provided through a standard data bundle or a enterprise specific custom data plan, with optional pooling across SIMs and shared data buckets. This solution offers enterprises an intelligent, API based mobile data management platform and single bill, data usage and access across multiple countries with consistent agreement terms.

What is the Globalgig managed, co-managed and DIY services solution?

Globalgig provides a managed solution that is available in three service tiers: Essential, Plus, and Premier. This provides management for SD WAN layers 1-3. However, it is possible that the layer 4-7 overlay can be DIY or Co-managed as Globalgig’s carrier-agnostic solution offers many vendor options for enterprises to choose from.
